For entry into the territory of the Republic of Armenia, foreign citizens must have an identity document (passport) and visa. Citizens of foreign countries who have not reached the age of majority have the right to enter the territory of the Republic of Armenia when accompanied by father and mother, or one of the parents or independently if they come to their relatives or are accepted by an institution.
If a foreign citizen arrives in Armenia without a passport or visa, or if he/she is denied a visa at border control, he/she does not have the right to enter the territory of the Republic of Armenia and must return to the country from which he/she has arrived in Armenia. The foregoing is not valid if the purpose of the arrival is to obtain political asylum or refugee status.
